Machine Shop Manager

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Machine Shop Manager to join our team.

The Machine Shop Manager will be responsible for managing the team in the machine shop and utilising a computerised management system and their own expertise to ensure the smooth progression of items through the factory. Liaising with other departments and keen planning will be required to meet customer requirements. There will be continual investment and expansion to be overseen within the department as we look to compliment the significant recent investment that has already created an impressive and advanced working environment.

The successful candidate must:

  • Have an engineering background and be able to demonstrate a high level of expertise in machining processes, specifically CNC milling, turning.
  • Have a broad knowledge of manufacturing processes including sawing, plasma cutting and sheet metal work
  • Have excellent computer skills. The role will require the utilisation of manufacturing software to track and control the progress of items, and the use of Microsoft Office software.
  • Have very good communication skills when liaising with both colleagues and customers.
  • Perform work in accordance with the company’s health and safety procedures.
  • Be highly motivated and offer a keen eye for detail and value precision.
 

This is a full-time position. The basic factory opening hours are 07:30 to 16:30 Monday to Thursday, and 07:30 to 12:30 on a Friday. The successful candidate would take responsibility for managing their workload and working the hours necessary to fulfil their duties.

Annual salary would be dependent on skill level and experience.

Sheet Metal Worker

An opportunity has arisen for a skilled Sheet Metal Worker to join our team.

The successful candidate must:

  • Be able to read, interpret and work to engineering drawings with minimal supervision.
  • Have experience operating press brakes, sheet rollers, manual punches and drills.
  • Experience tube forming and section rolling would be an advantage.
  • Be comfortable working on one off pieces and other small batch work.
  • Be able to use measuring equipment.
  • Perform work in accordance with the companies health and safety procedures.
  • Be highly motivated.
  • Work effectively, ensuring the workplace is kept in clean and orderly manner.
 

This is a full time position, with working hours from 07:30 to 16:30 Monday to Thursday, and 07:30 to 12:30 on a Friday.

Overtime is available, and would be expected when required.

Hourly rate would be dependent on skill level and experience.

The opportunity is available for the right candidate to expand their own skill set, and progress to a position utilising our CNC mill and lathe capabilities.

Overtime is available, and would be expected when required.

Plater / Welder

The successful candidate must:

  • Have experience operating a guillotine, any experience in other areas of sheet metal work would be preferable but not essential.
  • Be comfortable operating a 5 tonne gantry crane, licence preferable, but training would be offered.
  • Have an engineering background.
  • Be able to use measuring equipment.
  • Perform work in accordance with the companies health and safety procedures.
  • Be highly motivated and reliable.
  • Work effectively, ensuring the workplace is kept in clean and orderly manner.

This is a full time position, with working hours from 07:30 to 16:30 Monday to Thursday, and 07:30 to 12:30 on a Friday.
